FAQs
How long should I let my equipment soak?
At least a few hours so the cleaners and enzymes have time to work. We recommend overnight.
Are Enzo Equipment Bath Bombs safe for sports equipment?
Yes. We use non-toxic, yet powerful natural cleaners and enzymes formulated for this specific use case of soaking equipment to get rid of dirt, oil, and sweat made from the human body.
Are some cleaners and detergent bad for sports equipment?
Yes, certain cleaners and detergent can bleach, fade, but more importantly damage and dissolve sports-specific materials. Most detergents are made for clothing material (cottons, polyesters, etc).
Your equipment is expensive. Make sure you select the correct cleaners that are safe.
Can’t I just use a washer/dryer to clean my equipment?
We’d say be careful. Not only can your equipment get damaged, your washing machine can get damaged as well. We’ve tried commercial-sized washers, and have had some good results, but found the equipment gear bath does a better job.
How often should I do a gear bath?
We recommend every few months, but it really depends how often you play, if you air out your equipment often, and how old your equipment is. When it starts smelling, that’s usually a sign that bacteria is back and has food (dirt, oil, sweat) to eat and defecate, which produces that rank smell.
I’ve tried equipment sprays without much success. Will Bath Bombs do better?
We have tried all the sprays and odor killers, but when you think about it, those don’t really solve the core issue. The odor comes from bacteria defecation (bacteria poop). Even though you may spray an antibacterial on your equipment, bacteria comes back through sweat, etc.
Our approach is to not only kill the bacteria (naturally), and also to clean away its food (oil, sweat, dirt, etc.). This way, it takes longer for smells to come back.
Can I take a bath with my gear?
We get it. You love your gear. You probably want to be there the first time your gear takes a bath to console it so it’s not alone. You’ve slept in your gear when you first got it, but rest assured, we have your back.
Although Enzo Equipment Bath Bombs are non-toxic, we still recommend not bathing with them.
What pieces of Ice Hockey equipment do you recommend not putting in the gear bath?
We do not recommend soaking ice hockey skates, ice hockey goalie helmets, or ice hockey goalie leg pads. Most other pieces can be soaked.
What do Enzo Equipment Bath Bombs smell like?
We have nightmares of the smell of Axe body spray mixed with that nasty sports odor.
It has a light, natural scent, having tea tree and peppermint oils to help kill bacteria, microbes and odors. Your equipment might keep some of that light smell, but more often than not the smell becomes neutral.
The vinegar powder goes completely neutral during the soak.
What is your money-back guarantee?
We guarantee Enzo Equipment Bath Bombs will clean your gear and get rid of odor.
If you are not satisfied, we have a 30-day money back guarantee.
